Iva is a graduate of the Conservatory in Pilsen and the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is also a graduate of an internship at Dartington College of Arts in the UK. For several years she worked as a soloist with the chamber ensemble TILIA, with which she recorded the CD Tilia at the ArcoDiva label. From 1994 to 1999, she was a member of the World Youth Choir and the European Youth Choir, where she has toured with outstanding world conductors on tours in South America, Canada, the Baltic Republics, Scandinavia, Spain, Switzerland, France and Germany. She has been intensively involved in pedagogical activities since her studies at the conservatory. In addition to the Czech Republic, she also taught piano, singing and music theory in France and Germany. Her students work both on theatre stages and in the field of popular music and jazz. Iva is a big fan of alternative approaches to teaching music education according to the motto that music should lead children especially to the development of their creativity and their own thinking. She is also involved in music production, marketing and PR, has worked for institutions such as the Prague Spring International Music Festival, the Brno National Theater and PKF – Prague Philharmonia, where she participated in the From the Future World project – composing a fragment of Antonín Dvořák’s composition with artificial intelligence, or Robot Ludvik for PKF concerts for children in Rudolfinum in cooperation with Czech Technical University. Iva worked for ISMFA in 2003-2009 and resumed her cooperation in 2020.
